GENERAL INFORMATION

The electronic control system of a transmission has self-diagnostics function. With malfunctions in a transmission they register in the ESM block in the form of codes, thus the control lamp lights up. Definition of codes of malfunction of an automatic transmission can be made as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Include ignition.
2. Move the main О/D switch into position.
3. Using an additional wire, connect contacts of E1 and TE1 in the control socket.
4. For definition of a code of malfunction count number of flashes of a control lamp. The number of flashes of a control lamp to a pause defines the first of a code of malfunction, and the number of flashes after a pause defines the second of a code of malfunction.
5. After elimination of malfunction for deleting of a code of malfunction from memory switch off ignition and take EFI1 safety lock for the period of more than 10 sec.
