GENERAL INFORMATION

Preventions

Surely make replacement of all blocks on one axis of the car even if the limit of wear were reached by one block. If blocks are repeatedly established, before removal they need to be marked.

During the work of brake shoes brake dust which contains asbestos, unhealthy is formed. Therefore when cleaning brake shoes do not use compressed air and do not inhale dust.

Back brake with the brake drum

The maximum diameter of internal part of the brake drum is beaten out on an external surface of the brake drum.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift back part of the car and record on supports. Remove the corresponding back wheel.
2. Release the emergency brake.

3. Note mutual position of the brake drum and a nave in order that at installation of the brake drum balancing was not broken.	4. Use two screw-drivers inserted through an opening in a brake board for branch of brake shoes from the brake drum.	5. Use of special liquid for cleaning of a back brake.

6. Remove a returnable spring from the top part of a front brake shoe.	7. Remove a plate of a spring of fixing of a brake shoe, pressing a plate and turning it on 90 °.	8. Remove a front brake shoe and disconnect from it the lower returnable spring.

9. Remove a plate of a spring of fixing of a back brake shoe, pressing a plate and turning it on 90 °.	10. Remove a back brake shoe together with an adjusting level.	11. Disconnect a cable of the emergency brake from the lever on a back brake shoe.

12. Remove a spring reguliro a vochny level from a back brake shoe.	13. Disconnect a returnable spring and remove an adjusting level from a back brake shoe.	14. Remove a bracket of fixing and remove the adjusting lever and the lever of the emergency brake from a back brake shoe.

15. Install the adjusting lever and the lever of the emergency brake on a brake shoe and fix a bracket.	16. Apply a thin film of high-temperature greasing on a carving of an adjusting level.	17. Establish regulirovoch a ny level on a back brake shoe and fix a spring.

18. Establish a spring of the adjusting lever.	19. Apply a layer of high-temperature greasing on a brake board in places of contact with blocks.	20. Establish a cable of the emergency brake on the lever of the emergency brake.

21. Establish a back brake shoe into place, pass a pin through a block, establish a spring and fix a spring a plate, pressing a plate and turning it on 90 °.	22. Establish the lower returnable spring on blocks, then establish a forward block on a brake board and fix it.	23. Fix the top returnable spring on a front brake shoe.

24. Moving with a screw-driver the lever of the emergency brake, check that the top returnable spring not of an otsoyeda nitsya from a back brake shoe.	25. Moving brake shoes, check reliability of their fastening.
26. If the brake drum is not removed from a nave, check that the parking brake is completely released. If the brake drum still is not removed from a nave, it is necessary to take away from it brake shoes. It can be executed after removal of a stopper from a brake board. Using a narrow screw-driver through an opening in a brake board move the lever from a cogwheel of an adjusting level and the second screw-driver, rotating a cogwheel, take away brake shoes from the brake drum.
27. Being careful, clear an internal surface of the brake drum of brake dust and dirt. Clear an external surface of the brake drum and check for obvious signs of wear or damages, existence of cracks round openings under bolts of fastening of a wheel. If necessary replace a drum. Measure the internal diameter of the brake drum.
28. Install the brake drum.
29. Establish a wheel and lower the car. Repeatedly tighten the lever of the emergency brake for this purpose, what to adjust the provision of back brake shoes.
