GENERAL INFORMATION

Preventions

In the presence in the code radio receiver against theft, before an accumulator detachment, check that you have connection codes.

On models since 1993 the system of the airbag of safety is disconnected if the accumulator is disconnected for long term. If a control lamp of a safety cushion it lights up and necessary to burn after repeated connection of the accumulator, it is necessary to address in a specialized workshop for maintenance of system.

Removal of an adjusting plate from a valve pusher

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. On the four-cylinder engine disconnect wires from spark plugs.
3. On V6 engines merge cooling liquid from the cooling system, remove a casing of the air filter and other elements which interfere with removal of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
4. Using compressed air, remove dirt from installation sites of candles that it after unscrewing of candles did not get to cylinders. Unscrew spark plugs.
5. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders.
6. Install the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point in a compression step.
7. Using a probe edge, measure gaps of valves and write down their values. (See figures 1-3)
8. On four-cylinder engines turn a cranked shaft on one complete revolution and repeatedly combine ustanovoch ny tags. Check valvate gaps on other cylinders (See fig. 4). On four-cylinder engines at installation of the piston of the fourth cylinder in the top dead point in a step of compression check gaps of final valves of the cylinder No. 2 and No. 4 and gaps of inlet valves of the cylinder No. 3 and No. 4.
9. On V6 engines turn a cranked shaft on 240 ° clockwise and check a gap of the valves shown in fig. 5, 6. Further turn a cranked shaft for 240 ° and check a gap of valves on other cylinders (See fig. 7).
10. After measurement of gaps of valves turn a cranked shaft of the engine in such situation that distribute a cam a telny shaft over the valve on which it is necessary to make adjustment was established up.
11. Turn dredging in a valve pusher to a spark plug. Using the special tool, press a valve pusher down and record a pusher in this situation. Using tweezers or a magnet, take from a pusher an adjusting plate (See the drawings Use of the Special Tool for pressing of a pusher of the valve, Fixing of a pusher of the valve in the pressed situation, Removal of an adjusting plate from a valve pusher).

12. Measure by a micrometer thickness of an adjusting plate. For determination of the demanded thickness of an adjusting plate use the following formula:

N = T + (A – V),

T – thickness of an old adjusting plate,
And – a valve gap,
N – thickness of a new adjusting plate,
V – the demanded valve gap.

12. Choose an adjusting plate which thickness is closest to the calculated. There are adjusting plates from 2,500 to 3,300 mm thick with a step of 0,05 mm.
13. Install the adaptation for pushers of valves with the long sponge covering bottom edge of a pusher and with the lower shorter sponge covering the upper edge of a pusher press a pusher down, having squeezed handles of the adaptation and establish an adjusting plate of the demanded thickness. Remove the adaptation for installation of an adjusting plate and measure a valvate gap.
14. Replace with the Analochichny image adjusting plates, on valves on which adjustment is required.
15. Establish spark plugs, a cover of a head of the block of cylinders, high-voltage wires and other earlier removed elements.
