8.5.5. MAF sensor of measurement of mass of a stream of air (engine 1MZ-FE V6)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Check of resistance the sensor of measurement of mass of a stream of air at warming up of the engine (engine 1MZ-FE V6)
 

The sensor of measurement of mass of a stream of air is located in the inlet canal. Operation of the sensor is based on measurement soprotiv the line of the heated conductor cooled by an air stream.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electric socket from the sensor and at inclusion of ignition check that on a black/orange wire there is accumulator tension.

2. Connect the electric socket to the sensor of measurement of mass of a stream of air and connect the voltmeter to contacts of VG and VG-. At the included ignition, but not working engine tension has to be less, than 1,0 Century. After start of the engine tension has to increase till 2 Century.

3. Check resistance between contacts of THA and E2 of the socket of the sensor of measurement of mass of a stream of air. Resistance of the sensor has to change at warming up of the engine.
4. For removal by the sensor of measurement of mass of a stream of air disconnect from it the electric socket, remove a casing of the air filter, unscrew 4 bolts and remove the sensor.
