GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of the switching vacuum valves on the six-cylinder engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a tee with the manometer in the vacuum hose connecting the EGR valve and switching a vacuum hose. 2. Start the engine and connect contacts of TE1 and E1 on the control socket. At a temperature of cooling liquid less than 55 °C check that vacuum to an otsutstvo et at turns of the engine of 2500 rpm. Warm up the engine and check that the manometer shows low vacuum at 2500 rpm.
3. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the channel R of the vacuum modulator and connect the F1 channel directly to an inlet collector. At turns of the engine of 2500 rpm the manometer has to show high vacuum.
4. Check operation of the switching vacuum valve (VSV). On six-cylinder engines remove the top casing from the engine for access to vacuum electromagnetic valves. On four-cylinder engines the switching vacuum valve is located on an inlet collector.
5. Check resistance of the switching vacuum valve which has to be from 33 to 39 Ohms.
