GENERAL INFORMATION

Many repair work on the engine can be carried out directly on the car. Prior to repair work it is recommended to clear the engine and a motor compartment carefully. Depending on a type of works it is possible to remove a cowl for simplification of access to the engine.

Without removing the engine from the car it is possible to eliminate different types of leaks, for example, to replace laying of inlet and final collectors, laying of the oil pallet, sealing rings of a cranked shaft, laying of a head of the block of cylinders and so on.

External details and units, such as inlet and final collectors, the oil pallet, the oil pump, the water pump, a starter, the generator, the distributor of ignition and elements of fuel system can be removed from the engine for repair.

As the head of the block of cylinders can be removed without dismantle of all engine from the car, and repair of the mechanism of gas distribution can be made without excess operations. In exceptional cases without removing the engine from the car replacement of piston rings, pistons, rods and inserts of radical and shatunny bearings is possible.
