3.6. Inlet collector

3.6.1. Removal

GENERAL INFORMATION

Preventions

In the presence in the code radio receiver against theft, before an accumulator detachment, check that you have connection codes.

On models since 1993 the system of the airbag of safety is disconnected if the accumulator is disconnected for long term. If a control lamp of a safety cushion it lights up and necessary to burn after repeated connection of the accumulator, it is necessary to address in a specialized workshop for maintenance of system.


PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.

2. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system.

3. Remove a casing of the air filter, a throttle, fuel nozzles and an air inlet.
4. Unscrew an arm of the top single pulley.
5. Mark and disconnect the remained wires, hoses and arms from an inlet collector. On the engine 3VZ-FE remove a bypass pipe of the cooling system.
6. Unscrew 8 nuts and bolts and separate an inlet collector from the engine.
7. On engines 1MZ-FE there is a cooling system branch pipe which is available only after removal of an inlet collector therefore it is recommended to examine a condition of a branch pipe of the cooling system and, if necessary, to replace it at removal of an inlet collector.
